For parents

What can parents see and control?

A browser page, not a buried settings screen — and you can walk through it right now without an account.

Most of what makes Mind Craft Fish different for parents is invisible in the App Store screenshots, because it does not live in the app at all. It lives at houjun.dev/mcf/manage, on your own phone or laptop, away from the child's device.

The demo runs on a made-up family. Everything is live to click and nothing you change is saved.

Learning report

What was actually played, not what was assigned: which games, how much, how it went, and which levels have been cleared in each one. It also shows the voyage — how many days of learning have accumulated on the map.

It is deliberately a record rather than a score. There is no grade and nothing to compare against other children.

Games

Every learning game has a switch and a difficulty ceiling. Turning one off removes it everywhere — the home screen, free play and the daily mission pool — so a game that reliably ends badly simply stops existing.

Arithmetic has its own controls, because it is the one most families tune:

You can also control the word games per language, and whether the endless challenge mode is available and how hard it may get.

Daily missions

Set how many missions a day there are, and whether finishing one means simply playing a round or reaching a star rating. Missions are drawn from the games you have left switched on.

Screen time

A daily limit in minutes, and what happens when it is reached — a gentle reminder, or a lock. Separately you can ask the app to suggest a break at an interval you choose. Leave any of them at zero and that limit simply does not exist.

Rewards

This is the bridge back to real life. You can keep a list of real-world rewards the child can trade coins and stars for, and a list of real-world tasks that earn them. When you confirm a trade, the child's app deducts the balance on their side.

You can also send a gift directly to the tank — something that shows up the next time they open the app.

Data

Export everything that has been synced, or delete it. No email thread, no support request, no waiting period.

Account

Sign in with an email address or with Apple. The account is free and optional — the app works completely without one — and what it adds is cloud backup, this dashboard, and the ability to change settings without taking the iPad away from the child.

The dashboard is available in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, and signs you out on its own if you leave it idle.
