Terms of use
VoxStage is software you download and run yourself. The licence you use it under — the GNU AGPL-3.0 or a commercial licence — governs the software. These terms add what matters for everyone.
No warranty
VoxStage is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Generated speech can mispronounce, drop or add words, change voice or pace; speaker drafts can be wrong. Check the result before you rely on it or publish it. To the extent the law allows, Houjun Co., Ltd. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the software or its output.
You are responsible for
- the rights to the text you voice;
- the rights and consent for any recording you clone a voice from;
- how you use and publish what you generate, including saying that it is synthetic;
- following the responsible-use rules and the laws that apply to you.
Models and third-party software
The speech and language models are made by their publishers and downloaded from them under their own licences (Apache-2.0 at the time of writing). Third-party libraries keep their own licences. Houjun Co., Ltd. does not make or control those models and gives no promise about them.
Names
“VoxStage” and its logo identify this project. The open-source licence does not permit using them as the name of another product or service, or in a way that suggests we endorse it.
This website
The information here is provided for convenience and may change. Sample audio on this site is synthetic speech made with VoxStage from public-domain or self-written text.
