Your work stays on your Mac
The VoxStage software
- No account, no telemetry. VoxStage does not collect usage data, crash reports or analytics, and has nowhere to send them.
- Nothing is uploaded. Scripts, recordings, voices, generated audio and
exports are stored in the
user-datafolder of your copy and never leave the Mac unless you move them. - What does use the network: the setup scripts download the models from
their publishers (Hugging Face), and the dependency tools (Homebrew, uv, npm) download
software. After setup VoxStage runs offline: the launcher starts it with the model
libraries held offline (
HF_HUB_OFFLINE=1). - Network access mode is off by default. When you turn it on, other
devices on the same Wi-Fi can open VoxStage after typing an access key; the key stays in
user-data/lan-key.txton your Mac. It is plain HTTP inside your own network, so use it only on a network you trust. - Packages you make hold the whole project, including any recording you supplied. Keep them to yourself unless everyone whose voice is in them agrees.
