Terms of use

Image MLX Lab is software you download and run yourself. Its code is licensed under the MIT License; the model it runs has its own licence. These terms add what matters for everyone.

No warranty

Image MLX Lab is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Generated and edited images can contain errors, artefacts, seams, distorted details or content you did not ask for. Check every result before you rely on it or publish it. To the extent the law allows, Houjun Co., Ltd. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the software or its output, including lost or overwritten images.

You are responsible for

• the rights to the images you load and edit, and the consent of the people in them;
• complying with the licence of the model you use — for the default Qwen-Image-2.1 model, non-commercial research and evaluation only unless Qwen licenses you otherwise;
• how you use and publish what you generate, including saying that it was made or changed with AI;
• following the responsible-use rules and the laws that apply to you;
• keeping backups of images that matter to you.

Models and third-party software

The image model is made by its publisher and downloaded from third parties under its own licence (for Qwen-Image-2.1, the Qwen Research License). The runtime and libraries keep their own licences. Houjun Co., Ltd. does not make or control those models and gives no promise about them or their output.

Names

“Image MLX Lab” and its icon identify this project. The open-source licence does not permit using them as the name of another product or service, or in a way that suggests we endorse it. Qwen, MLX and other names belong to their owners; Image MLX Lab is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

The information here is provided for convenience and may change. Example images on this site were generated for the project and edited with Image MLX Lab; they are not photos of real people or products.
