The short version
One Line Shift does not collect anything about you. It has no analytics, no advertising, no accounts, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. The game never makes a network request — it works exactly the same in airplane mode.
What is stored, and where
The app stores your puzzle progress: which levels you have cleared, your best rating and time for each one, your appearance and snap-strength settings, and the half-drawn line of any puzzle you have not finished yet.
This is kept in two places, both of which belong to you:
- On your device, inside the app's own storage.
- In your personal iCloud account, using Apple's key-value storage, so that your progress survives reinstalling the app or moving to a new phone.
Houjun Co., Ltd. has no access to your iCloud data and no way to read it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the game simply keeps everything on the device.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, the app reports achievement progress to Apple's Game Center service so your achievements appear there. What is sent is limited to achievement completion percentages. This is handled entirely by Apple; see Apple's privacy policy for how Game Center data is processed. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent and the game plays normally.
What is never collected
No name, email address, phone number, or contacts. No location. No device identifiers or advertising identifiers. No usage analytics or crash reporting. No payment information — the one in-app purchase is handled entirely by Apple, and we never see or store any part of it.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. To remove the iCloud copy, turn off iCloud for One Line Shift in Settings, or delete the app while signed in to iCloud. Inside the app, Settings also offers Clear stats and Clear progress if you want to reset without deleting the app.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address and the date at the top will change.
